And while the resort features very steep lift-accessible terrain, it also boasts a lot of very wide intermediate and beginner runs for all abilities for the entire of the ski season which runs from June to October.
As the resort is Argentina’s highest ski area (top elevation of 3,450m) all of the skiing and snowboarding is completely above tree line and offers some spectacular views and incredible big mountain skiing. The off piste skiing features giant bowls and steep chutes.
Las Leñas is a self-contained Andean village resort, and hosts many different restaurants, bars, shops, hotels, and even a casino. Buses run throughout the village, making it easy to get around but you can walk anywhere in the village you need to go. All accommodation is ski in ski out and close to the skiable terrain, and include luxury hotels, apartments, and rooms more on a backpackers budget!
The ski center includes a ski and snowboard school with over 150 instructors for all ages and childcare facilities. Specific workshops for more advanced skiers and boarders are also offered at the school to take advantage of the incredible amount of off-piste runs in the area.
